Run (Don’t Walk) Into The Gym
Approach your health goals with passion, intensity, and a no-nonsense attitude
There are cycles of motivation.
Some experience them less than others and stay consistently motivated, but for the average person, motivation is rarely present every single day.
And this is okay. You don’t need to be motivated to get results. You need a clear purpose and vision… that you can align with.
Over 50% of the time, I’m headed to the gym; I’m usually not super pumped up, and my energy could use a boost.
How do I make it to the gym on average six days a week?
There are a few things that I will share with you now.
#1 Ignore your feelings
If you listen to your feelings, you will rarely make progress on your goals.
I ignore my feelings about 99% of the time when it comes to working out. You must reach a point where you become numb to those unproductive feelings and thoughts.
#2 Show up
99% of the time, you need to just show up.
Getting dressed, putting on your workout shoes, eating a healthy pre-workout meal, and getting in your car to get to the gym or go outside to work out are the best actions to help you SHOW UP for yourself.
People who consistently work out their bodies are showing up for themselves and conveying that they care, value, and respect themselves.
Not every workout will be the bomb.com
But every workout will make you a mentally and physically stronger person because consistency takes discipline. Consistency builds strength. Consistency builds character. Consistency creates results. Consistency is what separates mediocrity from world-class.
#3 Run into the gym
When I’m low on energy, I run to the gym to pump myself the f*ck up. I’m here. I made it. Let’s get after it.
Let’s fake the energy and put everything into it before we even walk through the f*cking doors.
#4 Remember my why
Looking good is a bonus of going to the gym, but I’ve stayed there for over two decades because I value, respect, and care about my body. It’s one form of self-love I can’t imagine relinquishing.
When you respect and love your body, you don’t skip your workouts.
When you respect and love your body, you prioritize your health.
When you respect and love your body, you feed yourself well.
When you respect and love your body, you choose discipline.
If you struggle to get to the gym, stay active, get moving, and eat well, you don’t care about YOU.
And today is the perfect day to change that.
Run into the gym.
Run to your bicycle.
Run to your fitness class.
Run to your walking starting point.
Run to cook yourself a healthy meal.
Establish a sense of urgency with your health because if you don’t, no one else will, and your body will give out on you way earlier than it wants to.
